Most Dutch people take the environment seriously. They are willing to do what they can to help, for instance by conserving energy. Carbon dioxide emissions per person are among the lowest in Europe. Dutch people are also very careful to separate household waste. They bring their glass, paper, batteries and paint to special collection points and put organic waste in a separate bin.
